You Don’t Have to See the Whole Way
There are seasons in life when we wish God would show us the whole road.
We want to know what comes next. We want to know how things will work out, when the waiting will end, and where this particular season is leading us. We long for answers because uncertainty can be uncomfortable.
We want the map. We want the destination.
We want to see around every corner before we take the next step. But faith doesn't always come with a complete map.
Maybe you're standing in a place of uncertainty right now. Perhaps you're waiting for an answer to a prayer. Maybe you're facing a difficult decision, entering a new season, or walking through circumstances you never expected.
You may be asking God, “Where are You taking me?”
Sometimes, God gives us something much simpler.
Enough Light for the Next Step.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
— Psalm 119:105
Think about what a lamp actually does.
A lamp doesn't illuminate the entire road. It doesn't show us everything that lies miles ahead. It gives us enough light to see where we are and where to place our feet next.
One step. Then another. This is what God is asking of us.
Trusting God With the Next Step
You don't have to understand everything. You don't have to have every answer or know exactly where the road leads. You simply need to trust the One who does.
He is simply saying, “Trust Me with the next step.”
God's perspective is greater than ours. God will meet you where you are, at this very moment.
Trust Him with what you cannot see. Let His Word guide your heart.
Let His presence steady your feet. Let His grace be enough for today.
One step.
One prayer.
One day at a time.
You don't have to see the whole way.
God knows the way.
He will provide the Light you need for the journey.
Let His Light Meet You There
So if the road ahead feels dark, don't be discouraged.
A dark road doesn't mean God has abandoned you. It may simply mean that you are being invited to trust the Light you have been given.
Believe that God knows everything.
So take a breath. Release the need to know everything.
Look at the Light God has given you.

My Heavenly Father,
There are times when I wish I could see the whole road before me. I want to know what is coming, how everything will work out, and where You are leading me. When the future feels uncertain, remind me that I don't need to see the whole way because You already know the way.
Lord, help me to trust You with the things I cannot understand. When I am waiting, give me patience. When I am uncertain, give me peace. When I am afraid, give me courage to take the next step.
Your Word tells me that You are a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. Help me remember that I don't need light for the entire journey all at once. Give me enough light for today. Show me the next step and give me the faith to take it.
When the road feels dark, remind me that darkness does not mean You have left me. Your presence is with me, even when I cannot see what lies ahead.
Steady my feet. Quiet my heart. Guide my thoughts. Help me to release my need to know everything and place my future safely in Your hands.
Teach me to trust You one step, one prayer, and one day at a time.
Father, wherever this road leads, help me remember that I never walk it alone.
You are my Light.
You are my Guide.
You are my Hope.
I trust You with the road ahead.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.
