Come Celebrate Our New Home!

We’re thrilled to share some big news: Salt and Light Community Center has a new home at 29 Hampshire Street in downtown Auburn — and we’d love for you to celebrate with us.

After years of prayer, hard work, and faithful dreaming, God has provided a permanent 10,000+ square-foot space where children, teens, and families can be welcomed, encouraged, and cared for for years to come. What began as a grassroots effort to love neighbors well has now grown into a dedicated community hub built for hope, healing, and transformation.

Salt and Light was born out of a deep burden for youth and families facing hardship. After experiencing personal family loss connected to addiction, founder Darlene Conant began dreaming about creating a place where teens could find safety, support, and hope. That vision, shaped by pain but sustained by faith, has become a growing ministry in the heart of Auburn.

For years, we served in parks, borrowed spaces, and wherever doors opened — building relationships, walking with families, and sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways. Now, this new building gives us a place to deepen that work and expand the mission.

Our heart is simple: to bring hope, heart, and healing through the love of Jesus Christ. We long to see families restored, freedom from addiction, and lives rooted in healthy, Christ-centered patterns.

As Darlene says, “This building is more than brick and mortar — it is a lighthouse. It represents God’s faithfulness and creates space where lives can encounter His love, experience healing, and discover renewed purpose.”

Join Us for the Grand Opening!

We’d love for you to come tour the building, hear stories, celebrate with us, and thank God for all He is doing in Auburn.
